We are currently seeking skilled Industrial Journeyman Electricians to join our team in Eden, NC.
Position Summary
The Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair in industrial environments. This role requires strong technical skills, knowledge of electrical codes, and hands-on experience working with motors, controls, switchgear, and industrial power systems.
Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems including motors, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, transformers, and lighting systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams for project planning and execution.
Pull wire, bend conduit, and make terminations in accordance with NEC and QPS quality standards.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant electrical equipment.
Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate test equipment and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with other trades and supervisors to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and QPS safety requirements.
Maintain tools, equipment, and accurate work records.
Mentor apprentices and support the professional development of less experienced team members.
Required Qualifications
Valid North Carolina Journeyman Electrician license (or the ability to obtain).
Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial electrical work.
Strong understanding of NEC and industrial wiring practices.
Proficiency with test equipment (multimeters, meggers, etc.).
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems.
Familiarity with automation systems and VFD installation/programming.
OSHA 10/30 certification.
Prior experience in manufacturing, power generation, or heavy industrial settings.
Leadership ability to direct small crews on projects.
Working Conditions
