Given the exceptional growth of its business, Charlie Health is adding an experienced Medical Director to the team. The Medical Director will partner with the Chief Clinical Officer, other Medical Directors, and the medical team to assure the highest quality of patient care, including comprehensive evaluations, patient consultations, and compliance with medical and clinical policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and outcomes-driven, with a bias towards action and patient-centricity. It will be the responsibility of the Medical Director to ensure that every patient has a world-class experience with Charlie Health. Maintains and enhances the highest standards of health care delivery to all patients Ensures that all health care services are provided in the most cost effective and efficient manner Assists in recruiting, hiring, orienting, monitoring, directing, coaching, and evaluating medical staff Provides direct patient care for medication management, diagnostic evaluations and medical assessments Reviews relevant patient complaints and satisfaction surveys and responds as necessary Provides technical advice to the Chief Clinical Officer and treatment team on matters that require medical judgment Oversees, monitors and updates the facility's medical policies and procedures Assists in obtaining state licenses, Medicaid contracts and commercial state-wide and national in-network contracts Supervises the development, implementation, and operation of a quality assurance program as it relates to patient care and participates in quality improvement processes Provides consultation and peer review for all medical staff at the facility Assists in the development of data, statistics and performance outcomes and measures, and compliance reporting, in partnership with the Chief Compliance Officer Addresses risk management and patient grievances relating to clinical care Assists the Clinical Director in determining the need and arranging for continuing education opportunities for medical personnel Participates in treatment team meetings This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Ability to support the Charlie Health team on a full-time basis Work authorized in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency Unrestricted MD, board certified in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry Valid DEA Certification or ability to obtain Minimum of 5 years practice Experience in mental health and addiction medicine is preferred Commitment to delivery of high-quality, cost-effective health care Ability to work as a member of a management team A high energy level and the ability to follow projects through to completion Ability to build consensus and work in a team setting Ability to communicate and work effectively with medical staff, patients, clinical support and administrative staff Proficiency in use of electronic health records Computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook Benefits
