Job Title: Cook/Dishwasher
Location: Carterville, IL Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM – approx. 4:00–4:30 PM Tuesday, Thursday: 6:30 AM – approx. 2:30–3:00 PM Job Description:
The Cook/Dishwasher is responsible for the preparation, serving, sanitation, and safety of all food-related services in compliance with Illinois Department of Public Health Food Service Sanitation regulations.
Core Duties:
Prepare and serve appropriate amounts of food for enrolled children. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and surfaces (daily, bi-weekly, and monthly as outlined). Wash, sanitize, and air-dry all cooking and feeding utensils. Receive, inventory, and store food/supplies properly. Monitor and log temperatures of refrigerators (40°ree;F) and freezers (0°ree;F). Practice proper hygiene (handwashing, clean clothing, trimmed nails, no tobacco use). Label, date, and properly store all food items. Prevent cross-contamination (e.g., store cooked food above raw; sanitize between uses). Ensure floors, sinks, and equipment are cleaned according to set schedules. Pre-rinse and soak dishware before machine washing; sanitize appropriately. Benefits (Upon Permanent Hire):
