Opportunity:
Board Certification Eligible - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Provide C-section coverage in collaboration with local Family Internal Medicine providers with OB privileges • Support approximately 110 deliveries per year in a rural setting • Work with CRNA coverage and 2 surgical team members for support • Accept unassigned patients and consult with local providers on C-section needs or transfers to higher levels of care • 24-hour call coverage typically starting at 1900 • Complete required online education prior to start date • Orientation includes meeting with computer educator for EMR (CERNER) training and nurse manager for unit orientation • Manage low risk pregnancies (required) and high risk pregnancies (preferred) • Perform FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE • Conduct OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted anatomic • Handle routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps deliveries • Make decisions regarding C-section necessity • Perform complicated deliveries including C-sections, breech deliveries • Preferred skills include managing multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs • Repair 3rd & 4th degree lacerations • Open surgical gynecology, laparoscopic procedures, and operative/major procedures preferred • Must have active Indiana license or IMLC • ACLS and BLS certifications required • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
