Join a hospital-employed GI team in North Carolina, near Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), for a high-acuity assignment with block scheduling and full procedural support.
Highlights:
- 1-2 weeks per month - you pick the blocks
- Full procedural autonomy with RN/MA support
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient coverage
Practice Setting:
- Work alongside a dedicated GI team - no APP supervision
- Hospital-employed RN and MA staff on site
- Assigned and unassigned patient rounds
Schedule:
- Scheduled clinical hours plus 24-hour beeper call
- 30-minute call response time
- 3 admissions, 3+ phone consults per shift
- Block scheduling available for flexibility
Cases and Procedures:
- Bread-and-butter GI with advanced procedures
- Required: ERCP, EUS, PEG, liver biopsy
- Full upper/lower endoscopy, variceal injection, polyp excision
- High procedural volume in well-equipped facility
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active North Carolina license
- BLS required
