Locum General Medicine Physician Opportunity in Maine
Join a dedicated team serving our nation s Veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments throughout Maine. This role offers the chance to work in your own office while contributing to the well-being of those who have served.
Job Responsibilities- Perform PRN one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments.
- Conduct primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Ensure all documentation and reporting is completed accurately, including any necessary addendums.
- Work flexibility with options for half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts.
- Maintain ongoing communication with a focus on administrative follow-up work, such as addendums and medical opinions.
- Participate in required training to become DMA certified.
- Proficient in METs testing with a strong understanding of respiratory and cardiovascular evaluations.
- Possess a working laptop (excluding Mac/Apple products).
- Must hold an active and unrestricted full medical license.
- Willingness to complete necessary DMA training for certification.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery preferred.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Current active medical license.
- AANP certification.
- DMA certification is required after training.
