VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Hospitalist.

• Description: Absolutely NO accommodations on schedule - the schedule is a very strict Friday 5p- Monday 7a. Pediatrician Hospitalist needed for call coverage - 1 weekend/month. Can take call from home call response time is 30 minutes.BILL Rate: 6700- Flat fee for whole weekend. Friday at 5p Monday 7am. No additional gratis or call back.Credentialing turnaround: Can move fast if physician can provide case logs and has AR license would be 3-4 weeksReason for opening: Physician out for back surgery. Had someone lined up to handle but the weekend coverage fell throughPatient Volume/Type: Coverage is newborn nursery ER Coverage and inpatient med-ped unit• Inpatient volume will be very small - maybe 1-2 kiddos total if that• Newborn Nursery - Average of 5 babies over the weekend in the nursery• ER Coverage - 2-3 calls per day generally able to be handled over the phone• They will need to round at least once daily Saturday Sunday in the inpatient unit the nursery otherwise it can be phone call coverage unless they need to come in to handle the issueMust know how to intubate and place lines stabilize infants in case baby needs to be shipped. Does not need to circumcise.Experience required: New grads okay. Board Eligible okay Board Certified preferred.Willing to license: YesMust be willing to start within 2-3 months Shift Info: Night 2x24-Hour 19:00 - 07:00
