Summary:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Processor to join our remote team as a Customer Advocate, Exception Handling. This role is critical in ensuring mortgage loan applications are processed accurately and efficiently, in compliance with investor and lending guidelines. You’ll be the primary point of contact for borrowers, managing expectations and resolving issues that prevent loans from closing.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary liaison between borrower, underwriter, and loan advisor.

Provide timely status updates and respond to inquiries.

Validate and complete 1003 loan applications in the Loan Origination System.

Collect outstanding documents from borrowers and third parties (e.g., insurance, payoffs, VOEs).

Run AUS engines (DU/LP) and compliance checks.

Review title commitments, fees, and order subordinations.

Escalate loans for restructuring or disqualification as needed.

Submit complete loan packages for final underwriting approval.

Track loan status and maintain pipeline to meet monthly funding goals.

Provide feedback to Loan Credit Advisors on loan quality.

Maintain accurate documentation and communication logs.

Requirements:

3–5 years of loan processing experience

Proven experience with Conventional, FHA, and VA loans

Strong understanding of mortgage guidelines and AUS systems

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Must be available to work Eastern Standard Time hours

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
