What you’ll be doing

As a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you’ll join a team focused on unlocking your potential and achieving sales success in a retail store. Responsibilities include:

• Generate retail sales by using your passion for technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
• Learn and uncover customers\' needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
• Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with complete top-down sales solutions.
• Close sales by using strong communication to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
• Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skill in merchandising and inventory functions.
• Potential to grow your customer base by outbound calls and texts to current Verizon customers interested in products and services.
• Engage with the community outside the store at Verizon-sponsored events to expand the customer base.

Compensation and benefits are described below; compensation varies by geography, hours, and performance.

Compensation and benefits

• Hourly base pay: $16.00 to $21.00, plus commissions up to $16,000 per year based on sales goals.
• Potential total earnings: $65,000+ to $73,500+ annually for top performers (varies by geography and performance).
• Benefits starting day one include health and well-being coverage, and support for education and career development.
• Stock grant: $2,500 per year as part of the Stock Together program.
• Sales recognition programs with travel incentives, gifts, and other rewards.
• Five weeks of paid time off (vacation, holidays, personal days).
• Up to eight weeks of paid parental leave for eligible new parents (up to 16 weeks when combined with short-term disability).
• Up to $8,000 per year in tuition assistance.
• Discounts on Verizon products and services (up to 50%), plus additional employee discounts on attractions, automotive, travel, and more.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to have:

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience (work or military).
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule provided four weeks in advance).
• Openness to take additional shifts during peak periods to earn more income.

Nice to have:

• Experience in a commission-based environment.
• Demonstrated sales experience and customer service skills.
