The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing hardware systems for grid monitoring devices. This role involves developing and troubleshooting electrical circuits, collaborating with firmware engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical engineering, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for hardware development. Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical circuits and components for sensor devices and grid monitoring systems. Conduct testing and validation of hardware prototypes to ensure performance and reliability. Collaborate with firmware engineers to integrate hardware components with embedded systems. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues in prototypes and deployed devices. Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications for electrical systems. Required Skills
3-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on hardware design and development. Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits, signal processing, and power systems, and experience with relevant simulation software (e.g. LTSpice). Proficiency with laboratory tools for electronics prototyping and troubleshooting (e.g. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers). Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g. Altium, KiCAD). Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Bonus Skills
Previous experience working with CMs/ODMs on medium to high-volume products. Experience with integrating cellular or low-power mesh communications. Knowledge of electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation and environmental testing. Familiarity with designing rugged and reliable low-power embedded systems.
