Responsible for providing administrative, analytical and Credit Union member support related to fraud investigations on credit card chargebacks, exceptions, claims information and accounting interchange. This job is a member of the Loss Mitigation and Check Operations team within the American Airlines Federal Credit Union. The role is responsible for providing administrative support for fraud investigations for American Airlines Credit Union members. What You'll Do
Research, collect and analyze data pertinent to various types of transactional fraud cases including cards, checks and other payment methods Handle issuer and acquirer chargebacks, disputes, pre-arb re-presentments, and exceptions including closed or charged-off accounts Counsel members and communicate with vendors for chargebacks and good faith requests Provide information and educate members on methods to avoid being the victim of fraud Act as liaison to law enforcement authorities and provide information to assist in subsequent investigation, prosecution and restitution Interface with members, management and non-management Credit Union personnel, which includes heavy phone contact with members Manage fund transfers between general ledger accounts and balance the applicable general ledgers, ensuring accurate money movements in collaboration with vendors and other Credit Union teams Analyze ATM electronic journals to ensure accurate record-keeping and claim finalization Participate in the development and implementation of loss prevention strategies/projects to minimize fraud risk and losses Provide insight into policy and procedure changes/updates that could reduce or mitigate fraud Perform other duties as assigned The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act All You'll Need For Success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience High school diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor's degree in business or related area of study or equivalent work experience CFE is a plus Experience with Episys and Synapsys software systems Bilingual in Spanish Previous banking or Credit Union experience Skills, Licenses & Certifications Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software Knowledge of credit union laws and regulations Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills & exercise effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management Ability to exercise excellent member service skills Ability to analyze data and present results Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision and make sound decisions Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance Ability to pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks What You'll Get
