Commercial Credit Analyst

reporting to the FVP Commercial Credit Officer.

Your core responsibility will be commercial loan credit analysis. Prepare credit analyses and loan proposals to guide the loan decision process. Spread financial statements for borrowers, co-borrowers, guarantors, and others while performing credit reviews and inquiries. Analyze financial information, including cash flow determination, debt service ability, balance sheet strength, and collateral coverage. Review proposed loan structures and assess credit risk ratings. Accompany officers on customer contact calls and assist with the compilation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Spreading financial statements for borrowers, co-borrowers, guarantors, and others as requested; Performing and reviewing credit inquiries; Using independent judgment to analyze financial information in order to determine:

Sufficiency of cash flow; Debt service ability; Collateral adequacy; and Borrower risk rating.

Reviewing/recommending loan structures consistent with bank policies and guidelines; Preparing credit analysis and loan proposals that assist in the prudent granting of credit; Performing trend analysis on financial reports of borrowers to evaluate their ongoing credit-worthiness; Accompanying lenders on customer contact calls; Performs other related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent education required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or equivalent years of working experience. 2+ years Commercial Credit Analyst experience is required. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. Must be conversant with (at least) intermediate level accounting (cash/accrual basis, cost, and contractor), lending experience helpful.
