Administrative Clerk III
The University of Iowa Health Care department of Environmental Services is seeking a Clerk III. This position will perform and coordinate administrative work such as examining and evaluating data in support of the Adult Inpatient Operations Team. The successful candidate must be highly organized, have strong communication skills, be a team player and be willing to assure all functions are completed in a timely and professional manner. This person is required to manage multiple priorities and have strong problem solving skills. Additional Duties: Support the daily operations of the Adult inpatient Operations team. Will assist Facilities Services Coordinators and Assistant director with ELMS, scheduling, TMA work order system, EPIC and reporting on departmental rounding. Other duties as assigned. Will be the primary contact for the TMA system. Be responsible for monitoring for work orders and closing completed work orders. Work with FM to ensure TMA system is working properly. Develop and maintain reports to track departmental training initiatives. Develop and maintain reports to track departmental rounding on internal customers, nurse managers and patients. Maintain Employee Database in EPIC. Work with Facilities Services Coordinators to approve ELMS requests, manage employee schedules spreadsheets and manage daily elms functions. Assist in the coordination of strategic plans in support of the Adult Inpatient Operations Team leadership. May initiate purchasing requests for supplies and equipment based on guidance from Assistant director. May work with departmental human resources to ensure guidelines and rules are followed and to disseminate information. Desirable Qualifications: Demonstrated experience utilizing computer software applications - an excel work sample will be administered during the interview process. Excellent written and oral communication. Previous experience in administrative support. Experience coordinating and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
