Bilingual Lead Customer Service Assistant - Martin Regional Library
Join the team at Martin Regional Library, home to the Tulsa City-County Library Hispanic Resource Center. We're looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish required) team member who's passionate about helping customers have an excellent experience and supporting library services. This lead role guides customers, supports staff, and ensures smooth daily operations across departments.
Location:
Martin Regional Library - 2601 S. Garnett Rd, Tulsa, OK. Salary:
$16.25/hr. Status:
Full-Time 40 hrs./week Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, City of Tulsa Retirement Plan, optional 457b savings, paid time off.
Schedule: Monday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Wednesday: 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Rotating Saturdays and Sundays
Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service in English and Spanish-answer questions, help locate materials, and explain library services. Assist with check-in/check-out, renewals, and library card registration. Support customers using self-check machines and basic technology (email, internet, devices). Train and support Customer Service Assistants and Shelvers. May serve as Person in Charge, overseeing daily operations and directing staff/volunteers. Schedule meeting rooms and maintain periodical collections. Actively support TCCL's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion efforts and Be All In culture. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Fluent in English and Spanish (proficiency verified through external testing). Strong communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with library systems, policies, and basic computer troubleshooting. Flexible with work location and schedule, including evenings and weekends. Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred. At least one year of customer service experience. Library experience preferred. Lead Customer Service Certification preferred or must be completed with 12 months of hire
