Accounts Payable- Bookkeeper

Location: Chicago, IL Compensation: $65000 - $75000 / Year Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Job Description

Accounts Payable Specific: Process payments for a variety of expenses, including legal services, operational costs, and vendor invoices, prioritizing them for timely payment Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Reconcile accounts payable transactions Monitor and manage outstanding balances Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments Daily review of bank accounts for deposit transactions, report same to Billing Manager and partners. Approval of ACH and Check Positive Pay transactions. Assist with month-end closing processes Collaborate with other staff members to ensure proper coding of expenses Review and process expense reports Maintain vendor files and contact information Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve issues Assist in the preparation of financial reports Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as required Qualifications

Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks. Centerbase is a plus. Knowledge of general accounting principles Excellent organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to handle confidential information responsibly Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Experience in a similar role within a legal environment High school diploma or equivalent Proficient in data entry and management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Good understanding of internal controls and compliance Strong attention to detail Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
