Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary environment. Your passion for animal care and strong communication skills will help ensure a positive experience for both clients and their pets.

Duties Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle medical collections and process payments accurately. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans. Assist veterinarians with patient intake, including gathering relevant information about pets' health and behavior. Provide information to clients regarding pet care, services offered, and veterinary terminology. Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries from clients in a professional manner. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth operations within the clinic. Requirements

Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not mandatory; kennel experience is a plus. Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry, handling, and care techniques is essential. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical collection processes is highly desirable. Experience in animal restraint, catheterization, critical care, or laboratory work will be beneficial. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments confidently. Aseptic technique knowledge is an advantage for assisting with procedures as needed. Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing excellent customer service in a compassionate manner.
