The primary purpose of your job is to assist with the delivery of patient care in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and established procedures as may be directed by the administrator, to assure the highest degree of quality care and safety be maintained. Qualifications
Education Other Certificate/Diploma related field of study required and high school diploma or equivalent required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No. Licenses and credentials experience medical assistant experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. 0-1 year preferred and a minimum of 6 months employment in an ambulatory physician practice setting in the last 3 years preferred 0-1 year preferred. Knowledge, skills and abilities must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel and the general public. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak clearly and understand the English language. BLS within 90 days of employment. Must meet 1 of the following within 1 year of employment if not completed prior to hire date: Preferred successful completion of medical assistant school/program or comparable training within related discipline. Enrollment in program to enhance MA skills: Registered (RMA), Certified (CMA), Certified Clinical MA (CCMA). Enrollment in program leading to further skill development with medical field (including but not limited to CNA, EMT, LPN, RN, CNM, NP, PA, MD, DO. Physical Requirements
