Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Santa Maria, CA. The Project Manager will oversee projects of varying scope and complexity, ensuring that they are completed within the designated time frame and budget. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating project activities to achieve the set goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate requests for proposal/quote and provide necessary input for the development of proposals/quotes, including determination of labor, staffing, time-frame, materials, equipment, and other resource needs.
  • Review customer contracts and purchase orders to assess technical, financial, and schedule impact on projects.
  • Determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
  • Generate and maintain the project roadmap, including schedule, bills of material, and work orders, throughout the project life cycle.
  • Establish work plans and staffing requirements for each project phase and coordinate recruitment or assignment of project personnel with internal department managers.
  • Confer with project teams to outline work plans, assign duties, responsibilities, and define scope of authority, while communicating schedules and changes to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project team members to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships on each project, manage supplier relationships, source new suppliers, lead negotiations, and ensure alignment of terms and conditions.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
  • Work with various departments to resolve project-related issues.
  • Monitor task completion status to identify at-risk project tasks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Prepare status reports for management and customers, modifying schedules or plans as required.
  • Coordinate project activities to meet requirements from governmental and regulatory agencies.

Essential Skills

  • Project management experience.
  • Electrical engineering knowledge.
  • ERP system proficiency.
  • Prior experience in project management roles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical product experience and working knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost estimating.
  • Experience interfacing with a quality management system.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations.

Work Environment

This position is set in a manufacturing environment, involving collaboration with technicians, buyers, and procurement teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Maria, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
