Full Time Laborer

Seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Laborer position in our Public Works Department.
This is a AFSCME union position governed by a collective
bargaining agreement.
The position includes labor work, operating heavy equipment (dump trucks, backhoe, street
sweeper, tractors, etc.), maintenance and repair of Township buildings, facilities, streets, storm sewers, curbing, snow plowing, grass cutting, and other related maintenance work.
Previous maintenance, mechanical, and operator
experience highly desirable.
A CDL B is required for this position, CDL A preferred.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
Overtime is
required, especially during the winter months.
Must pass a physical, and drug and alcohol test.
The entry rate of pay is $19.50 per hour.
After
successfully completing a 6-month probationary period, employee may be eligible for a promotion to an Operator 2 position with an entry rate of $24.00 per hour.
