Base pay range 240,000.00 / yr - $250,000.00 / yr Position : Principal Software Engineer - Seed Cybersecurity Startup Location: Remote in San Fran Type : Full-time Confero are partnered with a well-funded cybersecurity startup founded by repeat entrepreneurs from leading security / data infrastructure companies. They're building a modern security platform that processes terabytes of security data in real-time to help security teams detect and respond to threats faster. They're hiring a Principal Software Engineer to design and own our data ingestion architecture. You'll build streaming and batch pipelines that handle high-throughput security telemetry, from security logs to cloud events to threat intelligence feeds. Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable data ingestion systems for massive security datasets Build distributed systems for real-time security data processing and analysis Make foundational decisions on cloud infrastructure, data modelling, and system architecture Own the full stack from ingestion architecture to implementation Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience building distributed systems Deep expertise in streaming architecture and batch processing (Kafka, Spark, Flink) Strong background in cloud infrastructure (AWS strongly preferred) Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java Previous startup experience, especially in early-stage environments Please apply for more details, including a full briefing of the role.
