Your Role: As a Senior Environmental Engineer or Geologist, you will: Lead Projects:
Manage all phases of projects, including scoping, budgeting, execution, reporting, and client communication. Technical Oversight:
Provide expertise in a variety of projects, including but not limited to soil and groundwater remediation and design, vapor intrusion, mitigation system
design/installation,
contaminated site management, and emerging contaminant investigations (PFAS). Field & Design Work:
Oversee field investigations (drilling, sampling, data collection) and prepare design recommendations for complex or unusual site conditions. Mentorship:
Guide and support engineers, geologists, and technical staff, fostering career development and in-house training. Business Development:
Leverage your local market knowledge and relationships to identify, pursue, and secure project opportunities. Collaborate with clients to build trust and expand S&ME's presence.
About You: You have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biological or Environmental Sciences, or a related technical field You have a minimum of 8 years of professional environmental engineering experience You have a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license required You have proven experience with soil and groundwater
remediation/design,
vapor intrusion, soil gas investigations, contaminated sites, and/or mitigation systems preferred You have strong project management and leadership skills You have excellent business development abilities, and existing client relationships in the local market are preferred If you are passionate about solving environmental challenges, mentoring future leaders, and growing client relationships, we invite you to join us and make an impact.
You Are Willing and Able to: Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment, such as: Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions Traveling out-of-town (typically overnight) for assignments as necessary Working outside of normal business hours when necessary
