Business Development Analyst
Federated Hermes is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Development Analyst to join our dynamic Proposal Team. In this role, youll collaborate with various departments, including Sales, Product, Investment Teams, Compliance, Legal, etc. to develop high-quality responses to RFPs across a broad range of asset classes. Youll play a key part in showcasing our firms capabilities, helping us grow client relationships and secure new mandates. What Youll Do:
- Lead and manage proposals, including development project plans and timeliness to distribute to all relevant internal partners.
- In conjunction with manager, determine positioning points, key strategies and themes customized for each proposal submission.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in product, investment management, marketing, sales and other business units to create compelling, product specific and industry-related content to be delivered in proposals for new business.
- Create project plans. Organize launch meetings to ensure alignment with internal partners for a given RFP opportunity.
- Facilitate the contract, legal and compliance review process with internal and external counsel to vet proposal submission requirements with management oversight.
- Prioritize responsibilities to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, groups and activities with client directed deadlines.
- Partner with subject matter experts to answer client questions and develop new content to add to the teams content library.
The Expertise We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Marketing, English or related experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 2 years Request for Proposal/Due Diligence Questionnaire experience or relevant investment knowledge required; proposal experience in investment management industry preferred.
- Understanding of investment industry including key terminology, market trends, regulatory considerations etc. required.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft office required.
- Analytical skills including data, asset and characteristics manipulation required.
- High degree of proficiency in writing and grammatical skills and the ability to compose custom content with clear, concise, and compelling language required.
- Experience using content management systems (Responsive) preferred.
