Field Representative I, Fulfillment

Position Profile

The Field Representative I provides operational support in a fulfillment center across various functions, including:

Operating high-volume continuous feed or cut-sheet printing equipment.

Performing inserting tasks using high-speed commercial inserters.

Handling copying tasks, shipping/receiving, and mail/fax distribution.

Applying postage and managing mail processes.

Performing copier maintenance and minor repairs.

Supporting bindery, quality control, final checks, housekeeping, file services, call center, reception, and meeting setups.

Executing detailed "white glove" mail piece handling for USPS processing.

This role operates in a multi-shift environment and may include weekends.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Operate high-volume printing equipment and perform binding/finishing tasks.

Set up and run all applications on all equipment.

Inspect and maintain convenience copiers; report issues.

Maintain records for reports and supply inventories.

Distribute office supplies, mail, and fax transmissions.

Calculate job charges and maintain billing logs.

Respond to and coordinate service calls.

Perform filing duties per customer requests.

Deliver completed jobs to designated locations.

Maintain daily meter and service logs.

Answer customer inquiries regarding job status.

Keep workstation and sorting areas clean and stocked.

Handle shipping and receiving of materials.

Set up meeting and conference rooms.

Perform light maintenance and occasional cleaning.

Work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.

Use various equipment: shrink-wrap machine, paper cutter, bindery tools, jogger, tape machine, stackers, staplers, scales, copiers, calculators, fax machines, postage meters, and PCs.

Perform document purging and archiving.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

2-3 years of related work experience.

Experience in high-production, mechanically sophisticated print environments preferred.

Valid driver's license and required auto insurance coverage.

Ability to learn complex production and communication systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Working knowledge of copier and related equipment (preferred).

Understanding of shipping/receiving procedures.

Basic electronics knowledge (preferred).

Ability to work independently and flexibly.

Ability to determine correct packing methods and verify packing slips.

Comprehension of mail delivery instructions.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and understand technical manuals and publications.

Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands

Frequent exposure to copier/fax noise, toner, and temperature changes.

Risk of paper cuts and exposure to weather when walking between buildings.

Daily contact with customers, employees, managers, and vendors.

High stress due to tight deadlines and quick turnarounds.

Physical effort including standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and pushing/pulling equipment (up to 400 lbs).

Walking between buildings may be required.
