Since 1946, the Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) has delivered the VCS benefits to millions of Veterans enrolled in the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Healthcare system, the largest Healthcare system in the United States. Team Members to provide exceptional service in our cafes and retail markets! The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) located at the Aspinwall, PA, VA Medical Center, is seeking Retail Associates who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to serving America’s Heroes
Duties:
Assists customer in locating products & provides detailed information to enhance their shopping experience.
Handles sales transactions efficiently using a cash register, ensuring accuracy & customer satisfaction.
Restocks merchandise and ensures products are properly labeled for display.
Maintains a clean & organized store environment, ensuring a pleasant & efficient shopping experience.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
A current, valid REAL ID is required to work at Veterans Canteen Service.
Excellent customer service skills
Basic math skills for handling transactions.
Requires constant standing, walking, and frequent bending.
Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.
One year of experience in the service industry is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with retail software and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP). Participation in the seasonal influenza program is a condition of employment. It is a requirement that all HCP receive the annual seasonal influenza vaccination or obtain an exemption for medical or religious reasons.
