Responsibilities :

The Data Analyst will support Barrow Wise's GSA project and perform the following duties :

  1. Organize and analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured data sets using data analytical tools, including locating, accessing, merging, cleaning, and standardizing data, and developing derived metrics.
  2. Develop and/or manage & improve existing Google Apps Scripts for various reports and dashboards.
  3. Consult, develop, and build base requirements for automated reporting tools related to leasing and workload analysis.
  4. Establish data pipelines and develop best practices for data management in collaboration with the business line.
  5. Migrate all READ Reports to Google for improved reporting.
  6. Create and implement data collection and analysis tools using programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, Scala, Java, and maintain Google sites and web applications.
  7. Automate manual processes and develop ad hoc reporting solutions, including Oracle to UNIX conversions when required.
  8. Translate and convert SQL scripts with UNIX shell commands to Oracle BI publisher.
  9. Utilize Google Apps Scripts to automate tasks using JavaScript ES6, adhering to GSA-approved tools and platforms.
  10. Leverage tools like SQL, Salesforce, Tableau, Google Data Studio for data automation and transformation.
  11. Develop Google web services and applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery).
  12. Check the accuracy of calculations, including present value analysis and cash flows.
  13. Ensure compliance with Section 508 where required.
  14. Document code properly for future migration and maintenance.

An Ideal Candidate has :

  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Technology
  • At least 3 years' experience with data processing, analysis, and visualization tools like VBA, SQL, Python, Java, GIS, Tableau, BigQuery, and Google Data Studio in a professional setting
  • Experience in improving operational and reporting data processes and infrastructure
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, management, and reporting
  • Coding skills in SQL and Python
  • Advanced experience with Google Suite / Workspace / Sheets / Excel
