Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead the data quality effort and activities for the IT data governance organization using current solutions (Cencora data quality and Collibra data quality).
  • Lead regular meetings with data governance teams for identifying, resolving and planning fixes, enhancements or upgrades for current data quality solutions.
  • Partner with technical teams to diagnose and resolve technology issues (Python, PowerApps, Power BI, Oracle) and follow rigorous SDLC processes to ensure changes are well defined, tested and approved before migration to production system.
  • Define and maintain solution training and best practices for data governance solution usage by data governance teams and IT solutions teams.
  • Partner with IT and data governance colleagues to enable Collibra cloud catalog and data quality functionality based upon meeting user requirements that solve business issues and follow a value-added process.
  • Maintain metadata, data catalog and data lineage information.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analytics and subject matter experts to identify useful and strategically relevant insights.
  • Work closely with business users, vendors and delivery teams to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of business analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Show strong team-building and creative thinking skills, and a desire to “make a difference”.
  • Act decisively and take appropriate risks with little or no supervision, yet ensure clear, consistent communication on activities and impact/benefit for stakeholders.

Experience And Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Programming/Systems or Computer Science or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically requires 5 or more years of experience in technologies relevant to data/information management, data quality assurance, data analysis, metadata management and/or master/reference data management.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge And Ability Requirements

  • Expertise with data quality tools including data profiling, cataloging and data lineage.
  • May require experience in implementing solutions and processes for data governance.
  • Broad understanding of information systems and application architecture standards.
  • Experience in leading small project teams and streams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternate solutions.
  • Knowledge of logical data architecture and strong SQL skills.
