This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, close-knit environment where people wear multiple hats and take pride in the work they do.
Responsibilities
- Daily Accounting Operations
- Prepare and send customer invoices
- Record deposits and cash receipts
- Post and maintain general ledger journal entries
- Perform reconciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support leadership with financial insights and reporting packages
- Handle state and local sales/use tax filings and compliance
- Assist with internal controls and audit readiness
- Work within the current accounting platform
- Identify opportunities to optimize financial workflows
- Ensure accounting responsibilities are properly assigned across departments (especially separating tasks from production staff)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or field services environment)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems
- Proficient with Excel and general ledger maintenance
- Ability to work independently and prioritize across multiple deadlines
- Detail-oriented and process-driven
Note: This is an onsite role and candidates must be able to commute to the DFW area daily.
