Are you looking to provide excellent care to senior and elderly patients in your community? We have an exciting opportunity for someone with at least 1 year of experience as a caregiver or personal care attendant.
Essential Functions:
- Provides personal care/escort assistance according to the individual care plan (e.g., grooming, dressing, peri-care, showers, bathing, toileting, housekeeping, meal preparation/feeding, laundry) and reports observed changes in the participant's condition to the interdisciplinary team.
- Interacts professionally with participants, families, and the interdisciplinary team, providing quality services.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one-year experience working with the elderly or frail population required.
- No certification required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Flexible to work in multiple environments including home or center.
- Positive, conscientious, compassionate, and thorough attitude.
- Basic conversational English skills required; testing may be required.
- Bilingual abilities may be required with the ability to speak the primary language to care for the participant population; language testing may be required.
- Able to translate/interpret basic information for supervisors, participants, and caregivers; testing may be required.
- Able to document care-related items in Basic English (e.g., check off items on forms or electronic health records).
- Physical requirements: ability to stoop, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions of the wrist and hands. Must have visual acuity. Capable of lifting/moving weights within individual physical ability and using appropriate lifting devices or requesting assistance.
Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 40 hours/week, 7 am 3 pm or 3 pm 11 pm, including weekends and holidays.
