Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an ADM Business Analyst opening for our client in Houston, TX.

Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 9 months

Duties:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for ADM initiatives within the Commodity Trading & Price Risk Management (CTRM) domain.

• Translate complex business needs into clear functional specifications and ensure alignment with technology solutions.

• Work closely with developers, testers, and project managers to support solution design, testing, and implementation.

• Conduct data analysis and validate integration with market data providers and liquidity platforms.

• Ensure business processes and solutions comply with applicable financial regulations (MiFID II, EMIR, FCA).

• Provide expertise and guidance to stakeholders, ensuring cost-to-value competitive approaches.

• Prepare project documentation, business process models, and reporting to support decision-making.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable solutions.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and IT teams.

• Knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) and liquidity aggregation platforms.

• Familiarity with financial regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, and FCA guidelines.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Commodity Trading & Price Risk Management (CTRM) or Capital Markets/Investment Banking.

• Proven ability to externalize market practices and bring an industry perspective to ensure competitive and cost-effective solutions.

• Experience working on ADM-related initiatives in a complex, regulated environment.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
