Part-Time Dental Assistant – Private Family Practice

Orange, CA (near Villa Park and the 55 freeway)

We are seeking a friendly, professional Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused private practice. For over 20 years, we’ve proudly provided comprehensive family and general dentistry to our loyal community, and we’re looking for a new team member to help us continue that tradition. This is a part-time position offering a supportive environment where you can further develop both your chairside and front desk skills.

Schedule

• Monday: 8 AM – 12 PM
• Tuesday: 8 AM – 12 PM
• Wednesday: 1 PM – 5 PM
• Thursday: 8 AM – 12 PM
• Every other Saturday: 8 AM – 12 PM

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, ensuring instruments and materials are ready
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
• Manage patient flow and provide excellent patient communication
• Support front office tasks: scheduling, confirming appointments, recall management, and treatment plan follow-ups
• Handle billing and insurance claim filing as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-op care instructions
• Maintain accurate and compliant patient records (HIPAA)
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment by following infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Previous chairside assisting experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with dental terminology and insurance processes
• Basic computer and MS Office proficiency

Compensation

• 20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
