Position Overview

The IT Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing and executing procurement activities that support IT categories and IT Business Units. This role ensures alignment with strategic supply chain objectives, including cost management, supplier performance, diversity, and process improvement.

You will serve as a trusted partner to business leaders, managing IT supplier relationships, negotiating complex contracts, and delivering solutions that enhance value and efficiency. Key responsibilities include overseeing the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, leading IT sourcing events (RFx), and redlining/negotiating IT contracts across hardware, software, SaaS, PaaS, IT services, and large-scale IT projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for IT Business Units and suppliers to ensure reliable delivery of IT products and services at optimal cost.
  • Manage inbound/outbound shipments, inventory forecasting, and stock planning using MRP systems, collaborating with inventory and warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Execute the P2P process to maximize efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead full-cycle IT sourcing events (RFI, RFP, RFQ, bids) and independently manage negotiations and contracts up to $20M in IT spend.
  • Develop, review, and redline IT contracts and statements of work (SOW), ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with stakeholders to manage IT project budgets, timelines, and procurement needs, while influencing strategic business outcomes.
  • Negotiate with IT suppliers on pricing, contract terms, expedited delivery, invoice discrepancies, and change orders.
  • Define and monitor S.M.A.R.T. KPIs to measure supplier performance, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Research supplier markets, leverage data analytics, and recommend cost-saving and value-enhancing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Vendor and Asset Management Office (VAMO) and procurement leadership to implement category strategies that deliver measurable results.
