Pediatric - Hospitalist opening in Cedar Rapids, IA - Cedar Rapids; Des Moines 100mPosition Details:
- Full-Time
- Seeking a Pediatric Nursery Hospitalist to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA
- Join an established Pediatric Hospitalist team of 4 physicians
- Additional onsite specialist support: Experienced Neonatologists team that will take the ill babies into their care.
- Schedule is average of 14 - 12 hour shifts per month; Average of 8-10 hours onsite and with home call;
- Weekends and Holidays on rotation
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination Responsibilities:
- Rotating with other Pediatric Hospitalist inpatient pediatric care and Newborn Nursery
- No attendance to deliveries
- Average of 15-20 patients per day in the nursery
- Average of 6-8 pediatric inpatients per day
- Rounding Newborn Nursery: Admissions and Discharges and Circumcisions
- Pediatric Hospitalist: Admissions and Discharges, rounding
- Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician s field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt) What we offer:
