Locums - NP/PA Critical Care / ICU Opportunity
Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania
Setting: HVI CCU (Heart & Vascular Institute Cardiac Critical Care Unit)
Assignment Length: ASAP - March 31, 2026
License Requirement: Active PA license required (No IMLC accepted)
Schedule
  • Shift: 3 shifts/week (13 hours each)
  • Hours: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 8:00 AM
  • Includes: Nights, weekends, holidays
  • Call: None
  • Note:
    • No guaranteed hours
    • OT must be pre-approved by Practice Admin
    • Lunch is unpaid (provider must clock out/in)
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Daily rounding & patient management
  • Order entry, admissions, post-op care
  • Procedures:
    • Arterial lines
    • Central lines
    • Swan-Ganz catheter
    • IABP removal
  • Patient census: 8-12 per shift
  • Bed count: 30 beds in unit
  • Admission required
  • Assigned rounding patients
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Trauma Level I
Requirements
  • Board Certified NP or PA - Critical Care
  • Minimum Experience:
    • Significant recent experience in a cardiac ICU/critical care setting
    • Must be experienced in managing:
      • VA & VV ECMO
      • Impella
      • LVAD
      • Cardiac transplant patients
  • Certifications Required:
    • ACLS (AHA)
    • BLS (AHA)
  • PA State License: Required (no IMLC accepted)
