With a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and an innovative culinary approach, The Embers Hotel offers guests an unforgettable stay paired with exceptional food and beverage. Position Summary The Executive Chef is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for all culinary operations at The Embers Hotel. This individual will oversee menu development, kitchen management, cost control, and food quality while ensuring an exceptional guest experience that aligns with the hotel's brand standards. The Executive Chef will mentor and develop the culinary team, foster a culture of excellence, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and labor standards. Key Responsibilities Culinary Leadership & Innovation Create and execute innovative menus for the hotel restaurant, bar, banquets, and in-room dining, emphasizing seasonality and regional sourcing.
Collaborate with hotel leadership to align culinary offerings with guest expectations and market trends.
Operational Excellence Oversee all kitchen operations, including daily line execution, banquet preparation, and special events.
Implement systems for consistent food quality, portion control, and recipe adherence.
Maintain strict compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
Financial & Administrative Oversight Develop and manage food and labor budgets in alignment with hotel financial goals.
Control food costs, manage vendor relationships, and monitor inventory.
Prepare and analyze reports on food costs, labor efficiency, and kitchen performance.
Team Development & Culture Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing culinary team.
Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and accountability within the kitchen.
Conduct regular staff meetings, tastings, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or fine dining establishments.
Proven track record in menu development, banquet execution, and cost management.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Culinary degree preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
Passion for food, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.
