IT Manager
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of information technology within our organization. This role will be responsible for providing comprehensive hands-on support across all IT functions, including help desk support, desktop support, system administration, network management, database administration, and IT security. The IT Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency within our organization, empowering employees to leverage technology effectively, enhancing collaboration, productivity, and overall business accomplishments. Help Desk/Desktop Support:
Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing their IT-related inquiries, issues, and requests Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems, escalating complex issues as needed Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals Ensure the availability and functionality of desktop operating systems and software applications System/Network/Database Administration:
Manage and maintain servers, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability Install, configure, and manage Windows Desktop and server operating systems, virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, and business applications Responsible for Veeam data back up for on prem and cloud Design, implement, and manage computer networks, including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks. Maintain network devices including Cisco, SonicWall and Ubiquiti Configure and optimize network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points Design, implement, and maintain databases to support organizational data needs Perform database backups, restores, and optimizations to ensure data integrity and availability IT Security:
Implement and manage security measures and protocols to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities Monitor systems and networks for security breaches and unauthorized access, responding to incidents and conducting forensic investigations as needed Other duties as assigned Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge and proficiency in a wide range of IT systems, technologies, and platforms Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues across various devices and systems Experience with system administration, network management, and database administration Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify, analyze, and resolve complex IT issues efficiently Capacity to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions to technical challenges Clear and effective communication skills to interact with end-users, team members, and stakeholders Strong customer service orientation with a focus on providing exceptional support and assistance to end-users Basic project management skills to effectively plan, organize, and execute IT projects and initiatives Ability to manage priorities, and timelines to meet project objectives Strong team collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and colleagues Awareness of potential security threats and vulnerabilities and initiative-taking measures to mitigate risks Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and end-users Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field AND A minimum of 5 years' proven experience working in various IT roles, with a strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructure Experience providing ERP, WMS, and CRM support and Management, NetSuite preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, and Azure AD strongly preferred Understanding of IT security principles and best practices to protect organizational data and assets including cyber security protocols, MDR and EDR technologies. Experience managing public domains including DNS records and SSL certificates preferred Experience with Hyper-V or comparable virtual experience preferred Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, with firsthand experience in desktop support, system administration, and network management Basic knowledge of Powershell scripting and knowledge of group policy Experience creating API connections a plus Familiarity with database administration principles and experience with database management systems Knowledge of IT security best practices and protocols, including experience with security tools and technologies Manufacturing industry experience a plus Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times Ability to travel at least twice per month to our Ashland, Ohio facility
