NTG, a WOSB cybersecurity and IT consulting firm, is seeking an

Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer

to support a high-impact cloud modernization initiative on the IRES contract. You will join a specialized Tiger Team deploying and sustaining virtual desktop infrastructure in support of mission-critical operations for the Department of Defense. As a AVD Engineer, you will help implement and maintain Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions for a secure DoD enterprise environment. Youll work closely with senior engineers, cloud architects, and cybersecurity staff to ensure AVD systems are configured correctly, optimized for performance, and secure. Responsibilities

Support the build and deployment of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments in a classified enterprise setting Assist in configuring AVD components including session hosts, FSLogix, and profile containers Monitor and troubleshoot performance, user access, and connectivity issues Create and maintain scripts (PowerShell preferred) for automation and reporting Participate in Tier II/III support and escalation procedures Implement updates and patches in coordination with O&M and cybersecurity teams Contribute to documentation and configuration baselines for ongoing support Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft AVD or similar VDI environments Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server in enterprise or DoD environments Experience with PowerShell scripting for task automation and configuration Ability to work collaboratively in a mission-driven team Active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred) Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104 or AZ-140 Experience with:

FSLogix Windows 365 Cloud PC Azure AD / Entra ID Remote Desktop Services (RDS)

Understanding of DoD cybersecurity practices (e.g., RMF, NIST, STIGs) Exposure to hybrid cloud or Azure networking concepts Physical Demands and Work Environment
