We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Nursing Simulation and Skills Lab Coordinator to ensure our simulation and skills laboratories provide safe, effective, and engaging learning experiences for students. This role is central to simulation operations, faculty support, and student skill development. The Coordinator manages scheduling, equipment, and compliance while also facilitating simulation and skills-based instruction. Job Summary: The Nursing Simulation and Skills Lab Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the nursing simulation and skills labs, ensuring they are fully equipped, safe, and aligned with accreditation and program standards. The Coordinator collaborates with faculty to prepare, deliver, and evaluate simulation-based learning and skills practice, providing direct instruction when needed. This role also provides faculty training in simulation pedagogy and technology use, supports professional development, and ensures that labs serve as a student-centered environment where clinical judgment and nursing skills are practiced with rigor and consistency.
Key Responsibilities Simulation & Lab Operations
– Prepare, operate, and troubleshoot simulation manikins, equipment, and software; coordinate lab scheduling and setup; ensure safe and effective use of the labs. Instruction & Student Support
– Facilitate simulation and skills-based learning experiences in collaboration with faculty; provide direct instruction in simulation or skills labs when needed. Faculty Training & Development
– Provide onboarding, coaching, and ongoing professional development for faculty in simulation best practices, pre-briefing, and debriefing. Quality & Compliance
– Ensure lab operations and scenarios meet accreditation standards, program outcomes, and institutional policies. Collaboration
– Partner with nursing faculty, clinical partners, and academic leadership to integrate simulation into curriculum and maintain relevance to clinical practice. Continuous Improvement
– Evaluate simulation effectiveness, gather feedback, and recommend improvements to enhance student learning and performance.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred. Experience:
At least 3 years of recent clinical nursing experience teaching simulation lab. Licensure:
Current unencumbered RN license. Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency with simulation equipment, manikins, and lab technologies. Strong instructional, communication, and organizational skills.
