About Workplace Our Workplace business unit prepares and serves food for a variety of Bay Area companies and institutions. Ingredients are carefully selected from organic, local, independent farms - prioritizing purchasing from BIPOC and women-owned purveyors. Prepared to satisfy refined palettes and a diverse range of dietary sensitivities and preferences, our nourishing meals aim to delight employees. Our Workplace business unit offers multiple food program solutions to meet our clients' needs.

Position Overview The Warehouse and Receiving Associate is a full time role at our Oakland Warehouse. They will be responsible for receiving, organizing, packing out and maintaining cleanliness and order of all inventory. This role will work collaboratively within our Workplace team supporting the BoH kitchen with all receiving as well as the FoH and Snack & Drink (S&D) orders, etc. Requirements:

Responsibilities Primary receiver for all incoming deliveries. Follow all receiving procedures to properly log and stow inventory in the correct location. Flag and escalate any inventory issues during receiving to the appropriate person/team. Input all invoices accurately into the appropriate spreadsheets and inventory systems. Review Slack channels actively throughout the day and respond to any questions from teams about inventory. Complete pick and pack for accounts daily ensuring quality and accuracy. Log and report any discrepancies. Work with manager to prevent out of stocks. Maintain a clean and organized inventory of all products in the warehouse following all food safety and fifo guidelines. Cycle counting of all warehouse inventory dry goods, perishables, compostables and cleaning supplies. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse at all times. Participate in light warehouse cleaning and sanitation including sweeping/mopping, sanitization, trash and recycle. Comfortable to pick up and deliver products using a company sprinter van as needed between locations. Qualifications & Requirements 1+ years experience in a warehouse environment in receiving or inventory management and, preferably working with food products. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, communication and patience Flexibility to support teams when and where needed Ability to maintain and account for a large and diverse inventory of products. Knowledge of fresh foods including produce and raw ingredients a plus Attendance and punctuality is required with schedule flexibility determined by needs Ability to be a self-sufficient problem solver and make sound decisions on-the-fly Basic CA Food Handler Certification Knowledge of safety and sanitation Basic understanding of workplace communication tools (such as Slack) Basic understanding of online inventory systems Experience with stocking and merchandising is a plus Smart Phone Mobile device required for daily communications Valid CA Driver License with a clean driving record Ability to work in cold storage Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, repetitively throughout an 8hr shift. NO FORKLIFT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. Schedule & Expectations Typical schedules are Monday through Friday with hours dependent on the service. You are responsible for managing your schedule, based on your shift availability, with your supervisor. Shift details: Schedule is typically Monday - Friday, from 5am - 1:30pm. However, some flexibility with start/end times is required.
