Director of Brand Marketing

with a powerhouse California-based footwear company! This is a

hybrid role

(onsite Monday-Thursday in

The Role: Reporting directly to the Vice President & General Manager, the Director of Brand Marketing will lead the charge in shaping and executing the brand's identity across every consumer touchpoint. This is not a back-seat strategy job. We're seeking a roll-up-your-sleeves, sleeves-pushed, "let's get it done" leader who thrives on translating ideas into action.

The ideal candidate possesses in-depth experience in content creation, creative briefs, storytelling, and social media strategy, with a keen understanding of female consumer brands, cultural trends, and Gen Z engagement. You'll design and launch 360° marketing campaigns that energize consumers, inspire your team, and fuel measurable growth.

Responsibilities: Own the Brand Strategy:

Spearhead the creation and execution of the overall brand strategy, ensuring consistency and clarity across all channels, digital, social, retail, wholesale, and experiential. Define brand strategy : Develop the brand's vision, mission, and personality to differentiate it in a competitive market. This includes positioning the brand to resonate with the target consumer base. Ensure brand consistency : Act as the "guardian" of the brand's identity, ensuring that messaging, voice, and visual elements are consistent across all consumer touchpoints, such as websites, social media, and advertising. Lead 360° Campaigns:

Create integrated, high-energy campaigns that span digital, social, retail, wholesale, and experiential channels. Content & Social Strategy:

Build and oversee the development of compelling content for social media, email, and digital platforms that engage, amplify brand reach, and connect authentically with our target audience. Collaborate with internal and external creative teams to maintain and evolve the brand's visual identity and voice. Inspire & Lead Teams:

Mentor and motivate a lean, collaborative team with high-energy leadership that sparks innovation and accountability. Collaborate cross-functionally : Work closely with other departments, including sales, e-commerce, and executive leaders, to ensure brand initiatives are effectively integrated. Partner closely with Product, Sales, eCommerce, and Executive leadership to bring brand stories to life across the customer journey. Oversee Agencies & Partners : Guide creative agencies and production teams to deliver best-in-class campaigns on time and on point. ConsumerInsight&Trend Spot : Stay plugged into cultural shifts, consumer insights, and Gen Z/ female brand trends to keep the brand ahead of the curve Monitor key performance indicators

(KPIs): related to brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. Use data to measure campaign effectiveness and adjust future strategies. Conduct market analysis : Stay on top of consumer behavior, industry trends, and competitor activities. Use this data to inform brand positioning and identify growth opportunities. Manage the brand budget of $.5M+ : Oversee the annual marketing budget, allocating resources strategically to campaigns and initiatives to maximize return on investment (ROI).

Minimum Qualifications:

8+ years in brand marketing. 3+ years in a director-level or above leadership role. Proven expertise in content creation, storytelling, and 360° campaign development. Hands-on leader who can strategize and execute; comfortable writing briefs, creating content, and leading from the front. Strong background in lifestyle, footwear, apparel, or consumer brands with a focus on female and Gen Z audiences. Expert in social media, digital landscapes, and trend-driven marketing. Track record of leading and inspiring small, high-impact teams.

Compensation & Benefits: This impactful and highly rewarding full-time opportunity offers a competitive base salary of up to $150,000-$165,000 DOE, a hybrid schedule, plus a robust benefits package that includes medical, 401(k) matching, vacation, sick time, wellness allowance, brand discounts, and an annual clothing and footwear allowance.
