Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR)

to provide executive-level leadership and guidance for our HR operations. This senior leader will set the vision for HR strategy, enforce and evaluate policies, and align talent management initiatives with long-term organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in HR strategy, compliance, and technology, along with the ability to inspire, lead, and develop a high-performing HR team.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision Lead, mentor, and develop HR staff at all levels, fostering a culture of growth and accountability. Oversee departmental workflow, performance reviews, and employee development. Manage employee relations, including disciplinary actions and terminations, in alignment with company policy. Strategic HR & Talent Management Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR strategy with organizational mission and long-term goals. Define and track key performance indicators to measure HR effectiveness and market competitiveness. Research and implement competitive compensation, benefits, and incentive programs. Benchmark against industry best practices to drive continuous improvement. HR Technology & Analytics Oversee the HRIS department and vendor partnerships. Lead HRIS system updates, upgrades, and implementations to improve efficiency and employee experience. Utilize workforce analytics to inform talent strategies, recruitment, and retention. Ensure payroll and HR systems support data-driven decision-making. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, EEO, Title VII, FMLA, ADA, and VEVRA. Provide support for employee relations cases, grievances, and litigation in partnership with legal counsel. Lead compliance initiatives such as the Nuclear ECP program. Budgeting & Development Draft and manage the HR department budget. Represent the organization at professional development and networking events.

Qualifications Experience:

Minimum 15 years of progressive HR leadership, including strategic talent management; executive-level experience strongly preferred. Education/Certification:

SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred. Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution abilities. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices. Proficiency with HRIS platforms, workforce analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite.
