Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Senior Program Manager to lead strategic, cross-functional programs within our global manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a proven track record of managing the entire project lifecycle for complex, high-volume manufacturing projects. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive teams to achieve on-time, on-budget, and on-quality results. A current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is mandatory for this role. Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership: Lead multiple, simultaneous large-scale programs from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with Salcomp’s strategic objectives and customer requirements.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, engineering, supply chain, quality, sales, and key customers. Manage communication and expectations effectively.
PMP-Based Methodology: Apply standardized project management methodologies (initiating, planning, executing,
monitoring/controlling,
closing) as defined by the PMI PMBOK Guide to ensure rigorous and consistent program execution.
Scope, Schedule, & Budget Management: Develop and maintain detailed program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Proactively identify and mitigate risks, manage changes, and ensure timely delivery within approved financial constraints.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Production, PMC,Manufacturing, Quality) located globally to achieve program milestones and deliverables.
Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and develop mitigation strategies for program risks and issues. Elevate critical concerns to management with recommended solutions in a timely manner.
Quality & Delivery Assurance: Ensure all program deliverables meet Salcomp’s high-quality standards and customer specifications. Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process within a manufacturing environment.
Reporting & Communication: Provide regular, clear, and concise program status reports to all stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, budget status, and key metrics.
Qualifications & Experience Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Current and active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
5+ years of progressive experience in program/project management, with at least 2years in a senior role managing complex projects.
Proven experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in consumer electronics,
telecommunications,
or automotive.
Demonstrable experience with full product life cycle management (PLM) and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
Preferred: Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
Experience working with global teams and international customers.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (Green Belt/Black Belt a plus).
Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet) and ERP systems.
