Social Work Clinic Director (Addiction Services)

The Clinic Director will oversee operations across multiple behavioral health service locations, including outpatient, satellite, mobile, and grant-funded programs. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned clinician with strong administrative capabilities and a passion for delivering integrated, trauma-informed care to individuals facing substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges.
The Director will manage day-to-day clinic functions, supervise multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to strategic planning and fiscal oversight. A small clinical caseload will be maintained to stay connected to direct service delivery.
*Responsibilities Include:*
* Lead daily operations across outpatient, mobile, and community-based behavioral health programs. * Monitor service delivery to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. * Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation and treatment plans. * Facilitate team meetings and participate in internal and external committees. * Develop and maintain referral partnerships and linkage agreements. * Ensure adequate staffing and coverage across all service sites. * Supervise clinical staff and interns, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations. * Deliver ongoing training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, and evidence-based practices. * Conduct weekly supervision sessions and document accordingly. * Collaborate with leadership to streamline workflows and improve service delivery. * Support staff development through mentorship and coaching. * Provide individual and group counseling as needed. * Utilize evidence-based modalities such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction. * Coordinate care with external providers including hospitals, probation/parole, and treatment centers. * Conduct assessments for high-risk clients and contribute to crisis planning. * Support client engagement through person-centered planning and recovery-oriented approaches. * Use data to inform supervision and program decisions. * Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives using PDSA cycles. * Ensure timely and accurate reporting of program metrics and outcomes. * Identify and lead quality improvement projects aligned with professional development goals. * Collaborate with billing and revenue teams to optimize reimbursement processes. * Submit required data and reports to meet internal and external expectations. * Ensure accurate entry of service data into designated systems.
*Requirements:*
* Master’s degree in Social Work or related field. * LMSW or LCSW required. * SIFI certification or willingness to obtain. * Minimum of 3 years in clinical supervision. * At least 3–5 years working with individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders. * Prior experience managing behavioral health programs, preferably outpatient settings. * Familiarity with Medicaid billing and managed care systems. * Knowledge of state regulations governing substance use treatment services. * Strong leadership and organizational skills. * Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
