Location: Omaha, NE (Hybrid) | Travel: Up to 20%, domestic & international A Brief Summary of This Position: Valmont is seeking a highly motivated Senior Solutions Engineer to innovate and improve business performance within engineering environments. This role operates at a strategic level to plan, deliver, and support engineering platforms—primarily Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Design Automation (DA), and Engineering Analysis systems. The position oversees implementation, governance, and technical support to ensure on-time delivery, system scalability, and adherence to best practices. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end PLM Windchill projects including strategy, design, configuration, integrations, upgrades, and performance optimization. Develop and execute the enterprise PLM roadmap aligned with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives. Oversee PLM architecture, implementations, and compliance standards while driving multi-site adoption and change management. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and IT leaders to maximize PLM value. Manage vendor relationships and ensure system resilience through backup and disaster recovery strategies. Drive application consolidation, decommission redundant systems, and support enterprise technology simplification. Build and maintain technical roadmaps, policies, and standards ensuring scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver solutions on time, on budget, and with quality. Required Qualifications: Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Management with 7+ years relevant experience, Associates Degree with 9+ years’ relevant experience or 11+ years’ relevant experience. 7+ years of engineering platform experience and subject matter expertise in the engineering ecosystem (PLM, Windchill, CPQ, CAD, Engineering Analysis). 7+ years of PLM Windchill implementation experience in global, multi-site environments. Deep knowledge of Windchill architecture, modules, and PLM governance standards. Proven change management experience in PLM enterprise adoption. Familiarity with ACD or similar rules-based engineering automation tools. 5+ years of global IT experience. Excellent written/oral communication, leadership, project management, and organizational skills. Familiarity with Scrum/Agile/Lean Startup methodologies. Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IS, or related field. Experience in digital twin, Industry 4.0, and digital thread concepts. PLM/PDM/ERP enterprise architecture experience and knowledge of Valmont business systems.
