As the Patient Access Prof./Patient Service Specialist you will: Provides patients and physicians professional and friendly billing and reception duties and knowledge of Orthopedics at Valley View. Provide exemplary guest service to all internal and external customers. This includes phone and face-to-face interaction with patients, expeditiously determining and meeting patients needs, assisting patients when appropriate, and displaying an approachable and professional image in personal appearance. Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare terminology, health insurance, electronic medical records system, HIPAA, and familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 principles. Organize patient flow, keeping physicians and patients on schedule. Maintain patient files and accounts in a professionally accurate manner. Screen office manager, physician and nurse calls, handling appropriately. Ensure billing and collection processes are maintained. Assist as necessary in a timely manner with all billing and collection efforts. Qualifications

Skills: Clerical: typing, filing, scheduling, and strong computer skills; exceptional customer service skills; detail oriented with excellent telephone and communication skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience: Two years in a reception or clerical field. One to two years of customer service required. Previous experience in insurance verification, patient registration, collections or billing required. Salary Range

$20.00 to $28.87/hour Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience. Benefits
