Required Qualifications
Progressive experience in IBM mainframe applications development, testing, and production support. Strong technical expertise with COBOL II, CICS, DB2, Z/OS, VSAM, TSO, Syncsort, DB2 utilities, JCL, IBM Utilities, and related mainframe technologies. Hands-on experience maintaining and debugging CICS applications, COBOL batch processes, and DB2 stored procedures. Knowledge of Top Secret in mainframe applications, IAM, and application-level security controls. Proficiency with both batch and online processing in a mainframe environment. In-depth experience with SQL queries, database operations, and reporting. Prior participation in an application on-call support rotation (once every 5 weeks). Preferred Qualifications
Experience converting mainframe COBOL applications to modern distributed applications (e.g., Java, Python). Familiarity with IBM Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence (ADDI), Watson Code Assistant for Z (WCA4Z), or other AI-based tools for code generation and conversion. Experience with IBM development/testing utilities and BMC Control products. Knowledge of Change Management processes and Control-D reporting. Background in FFEL programs or student loan applications.
