Job Description Salary: $40 - $60/hr, depending on experience DiStefano Brothers is seeking an experienced Licensed Electrician to build and lead a talented electrical crew!

The Electrician is a skilled professional responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential new construction, remodeling, service, fire alarm, and light commercial projects. This role works closely with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and Lead Carpenters to ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, adhering to all relevant codes and regulations.

The Electrician will work a full-time schedule year-round and earns an hourly wage with an annual compensation amount of anywhere between $40-$60/hr, depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities: Perform electrical installations for new residential construction and remodeling projects, including wiring, outlets, switches, light fixtures, and electrical panels. Conduct electrical service work, troubleshooting and repairing existing electrical systems in residential and light commercial settings. Install, maintain, and test fire alarm systems in accordance with local codes and safety regulations. Execute electrical tasks for light commercial projects, which may include wiring, lighting, and power distribution. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems. Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless execution. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures. Select, cut, and bend wire and conduit to specifications, and install and connect them to panels, boxes, and fittings. Provide accurate estimates of time and materials needed for electrical tasks. Respond to emergency calls for electrical repairs as needed. Accurately track and record all materials and labor used on each job and relay that info to DBES office each day to assist with billing and inventory control Supervision of electrical apprentices. Includes teaching and oversight of DBES electrical apprentices. Ensure that apprentices are learning the skills necessary for success with DBES, and check all work for accuracy and compliance before completing a job.

Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a licensed Electrician, with demonstrated expertise in residential new construction, remodeling, service, fire alarm, and light commercial electrical work. Possess and retain a RI State Journeyperson Electrician License (or equivalent certification). Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams. Proficient in using a variety of electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Electricians are expected to provide their own hand tools, multimeter, and standard battery tools (e.g., drill, impact driver, Sawzall) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team Commitment to safety practices and procedures Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Experience with specific fire alarm systems. Prior experience managing crews and subs preferred. Valid Driver's License, a clean driving record are required. OSHA 30 Certification Preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50lbs regularly). Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and elevated heights. Manual dexterity and good eyesight (corrected, if necessary) for precise work.
