Planned Parenthood Arizona (PPAZ) is seeking a visionary Medical Director to set the clinical direction for our affiliate and lead a dedicated team of physicians and clinicians. In this senior leadership role, you will: Shape the medical strategy and clinical vision for PPAZ. Mentor and guide physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and medical staff. Oversee quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Represent PPAZ with partners, funders, and national leaders in reproductive health. Clinical Leadership & Oversight Guide medical strategy, ensure compliance with PPFA and regulatory standards, and champion quality improvement. Team Leadership Recruit, mentor, and support physicians and advanced practice clinicians. Conduct evaluations, in-service trainings, and professional development. Strategic Planning Collaborate with leadership to design and implement annual and long-term goals for medical services. Quality & Risk Management Oversee safety initiatives, clinical reviews, incident reporting, and compliance programs. Community Engagement Represent PPAZ in the media, with partners, and at professional conferences to advance reproductive rights and access to care. Direct Patient Care Provide compassionate, inclusive care to patients in health centers. What Were Looking For
Board Certified MD or DO (OB/GYN or Family Medicine preferred). Arizona medical license (or eligibility to obtain). Experience in GYN/womens health and proficiency in abortion care up to 18 weeks. Strong leadership skills with proven ability to mentor, coach, and inspire teams. Demonstrated experience in gynecology, womens health, and reproductive health care. Commitment to advancing race equity and patient-centered, affirming care. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
