Job Summary We are seeking a friendly, service-oriented, and detail-driven Front Desk & Insurance Billing Representative to join our team at our behavioral health agency. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. This is a part-time position with variable hours, which may include days, evenings, and Saturday mornings. Candidates must also be available to cover co-workers shifts as needed. This role includes responsibility for both front desk operations and insurance billing functions. Hours are Monday through Thursday 3:30pm-9:30pm, Saturdays 9:30am-1:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and register clients in a warm, professional manner Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Handle incoming phone calls and route messages appropriately Verify insurance eligibility and enter insurance details accurately Assist with insurance billing and payment processing Collect co-pays and self-pay balances at check-in Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments as needed Enter required data for state forms and reporting Fax, scan, and process office communications and paperwork Maintain a clean, organized, and HIPAA-compliant front desk area Monitor patient flow and help manage wait times Qualifications Two or more years of experience as a receptionist or similar role is preferred Excellent communication skills with a commitment to customer service Strong work ethic and positive attitude Familiar with computers and scheduling software Excellent multi-tasking skills
