Controller
Company Description MVP Robotics, Inc. (“MVP”) is an engineering firm born out of Dartmouth College’s Thayer School of Engineering based in Bradford, VT.
MVP’s mission is to improve human safety and performance through applied robotics in grueling environments.
MVP’s robotic tackling dummies have been instrumental in mitigating head injuries on the football field from the NFL to youth football programs. MVP’s tactical robots provide live-fire shooting targets for training our nation’s warfighters.
MVP continues to develop next-generation training and operational tools to overcome the challenges of tomorrow.

Position Summary MVP is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Controller to lead accounting operations, oversee financial reporting, and support strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong foundation in accounting and compliance, coupled with hands-on experience implementing and optimizing ERP and financial systems. The Controller will be instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes. Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures in compliance with GAAP, FAR, and CAS. Drive the implementation and optimization of a new financial/ERP system. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and DCAA reporting requirements. Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Manage relationships with external advisors, auditors, and financial institutions. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred). 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role. Proven experience with ERP implementation or system migration. Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR, DFARS, CAS, and government contract accounting. Experience working with DCAA/DCMA auditors and preparing audit responses. Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills. Exceptional project management, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Experience
Successful ERP implementations (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Deltek, JAMIS). Experience in a high-growth or fast-paced environment. Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). In-depth experience with DCAA compliance and government cost accounting. Compensation
