Must be willing and able to work a schedule that is inclusive of weekends and holidays. Must have proficient computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Two (2) years of secretarial or clerical work experience. Knowledge of AHCA daily minimum staffing requirements. Current licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Florida. Position Description
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the nursing staff is maintained to provide care to the veterans according to the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs (FDVA) staffing standards and regulations governing State Veterans Nursing Homes. This position will be reported under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON). Responsible for posting schedule. Maintain a daily posted assignment schedule for licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants. Compile and maintain cumulative staffing reports. Record requested leave time. Record/maintain in-house timekeeping records that have been approved by the nursing supervisor and/or verified with the DON. Maintain records of sign-in sheets. Compile and maintain patients per day (PPD) reports. Verify and compare PPD with time clock. Enter data into electronic folders. Post daily staffing numbers per State and Federal Regulations. Complete and submit monthly report to DON/designee of Agency Utilization including justification for use (as provided by the DON). Make time corrections daily and assist other departments as needed and with proper documentation. Performs needed functions in the FDVA computerized record keeping system. Attend all required facility training. Perform other related duties and required and may perform duties as a Certified Nursing Assistant, if certified, as required. Perform other related administrative duties as assigned. This position is in the Career Service system.
